It is important that everyone keeps to certain rules in order to ensure a pleasant and relaxing time during navigation. Rules are important for each participant on board to guarantee safety and give a clear picture of how Demarage Sailing Centre operates. As a professional sailing school, Demarage Sailing Centre is affiliated with the CWO (Commission Water Sport Training). The CWO Foundation represents the partnership between ANWB, KNWV, Hiswa and ISAF. This encompassing organisation monitors the quality and uniformity of water sport training in the Netherlands. It therefore guarantees training at the highest level and in accordance with the safest and best methods. In addition to this, Demarage Sailing Centre is affiliated with the Hiswa Association. Our services are, provided under the Hiswa terms and conditions and with Hiswa contracts and guarantee provisions. Hiswa companies offer you, as a water sportsman, the security that you as a consumer want: good products against competitive prices and an excellent service.

Safety
Each person on board is obliged to inform Demarage Sailing Centre about any personal circumstances that may affect the safety of yacht and crew. The ultimate responsibility lies at all times with the instructors of Demarage Sailing Centre. People on board are required to follow the instructions of the instructors. Life-lines, life jackets, sailing suits and gloves are available for every participant on board. You need to ensure you have the correct footwear, i.e. boat shoes or sport shoes with rubber (not black) soft soles.
Booking and payment conditions
Within ten days after receipt of the invoice, the participant has to make a deposit of at least 50% of the total amount. The outstanding balance has to be on our account two weeks prior to the actual sailing course or holiday. Via the booking, the participant/student agrees to comply with the rules and regulations of Demarage Sailing Centre and will act accordingly.
Cancellation
If the consumer wishes to cancel the agreement, he must inform the proprietor as soon as possible in writing or electronically. In the event of cancellation, the consumer is obliged to pay the proprietor a fixed compensation amounting to:
- 15% of the agreed course fees in the event of cancellation at least three months before the commencement of the course period;
- 50% of the agreed course fees in the event of cancellation up to two months before the commencement of the course period;
- 75% of the agreed course fees in the event of cancellation up to one month before the commencement of the course period;
- 100% of the agreed course fees in the event of cancellation within one month of the commencement of the course period or, cancellation on the date of commencement of the course period, all aforementioned compensation amounts with a minimum of € 75.
Liability
Students/participants are not insured via Demarage Sailing Centre for damages to persons cases by accidents and/or against damage to personal property. Demarage Sailing Centre and/or her instructors/representatives, cannot be held liable for any damages and/or accidents to persons or persons private belongings.
Exceptional weather conditions
In the event of exceptional weather conditions Demarage Sailing Centre reserves the right to postpone the agreed date and in dialogue with the student/participant, to agree on a new date without refund of the tuition fee .
